Engineering on one side, the platform on the other. The same engineers ship both, so the platform is proven on client work before it reaches yours.

What we engineer. Websites and applications, handed over whole.

Client sites are built natively in Terminal. Applications are bespoke software with authentication, data models and integrations. Either way you approve a written scope and a fixed price before work starts, and you own the code, accounts and documentation at handover. Enterprise builds run through our enterprise team while Terminal is in public alpha.

Both kinds of work Stacklumen does, in one window. Website: Terminal, the Stacklumen site builder, with Lumen Dental's site on the canvas; a testimonials section is saved as a component named Quote band, placed on the About page from the Components shelf, and its quote is edited once for every copy. Application: the Members screen, where the client, Dana Whitfield, is made an owner, after which the agency's own row, the only owner until then, can step down to admin. A short demo plays through both; the pause button stops it. The Website and Application tabs, the page, the component's name and both roles also work by hand.

Saved as a component, a section can be placed on any page, and one edit reaches every copy.

Three names. One company since 2022.

Stacklumen is the third name for the same company. Client work and retainers carried across each change.

  1. Axom

    2022

Started as a small web practice: the first client sites, the first design system and the first internal component library.

  2. Stackent

    2024–2025

Took on Shopify storefronts and custom React applications, and built the habits of production work: real components and complete handovers.

  3. Stacklumen

    Now

The same company under the name it keeps: the platform on one side, the engineering practice on the other.

We engineer systems that ship. Enterprise-grade tooling, sized for small teams.

We believe every business deserves infrastructure that works as hard as it does. Stacklumen exists to engineer it: with precision, with rigour, and with outcomes measured in production rather than promised in a deck.
The Stacklumen manifesto
Precision over speed
We would rather take an extra day and ship something excellent. Every detail matters, from spacing to database indexes.
Systems thinking
We build systems, not features: designed to scale and adapt without piling up technical debt.
Radical transparency
We communicate early, often and honestly, including when a plan needs to change.
Enterprise access for all
The tools large companies take for granted should be within reach of a twelve-person team.
Ownership mentality
We treat every project like our own product, and think about the long-term outcome rather than the ticket.
Continuous evolution
Shipping is the start, not the finish. We stay invested in what happens after launch.
